My outstanding and well-maintained room came with bath tub, the balcony, futon bedding. That hotel was in a magnificent location, away from the lake. Ogoto Onsen district was worth exploring. Food was appetising and excellent; the staff were amazingly nice.

The hotel was a fine base for enjoying a quiet area, just off Kyoto and Kansai airport as well as a hot springs area in Shiga. Nice building, we truly enjoyed big size and incredible rooms. Had private bathroom with all essentials. The staff was pleasant and made us feel comfortable.

Liked our perfectly clean and beautifully maintained rooms.
The room we had included a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge, and tea and coffee making equipment.

It has reasonably large and spotless rooms to offer with bath tub and the balcony, for instance.

Amazing dinner, one of the best! Baths fantastic- 4 in total, must try all. Favorite: 5th floor outdoor bath. Luggage mix-up, but Yumotokan staff handled it with care, forwarding it to Nagoya JR Tower Gate Hotel. Much appreciated!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I loved the indoor and outdoor onsen options, and the rooftop view was stunning at night. The location was convenient, with easy access to 2 different train stations.
Nothing, all great.

This traditional Japanese-style accommodation is located in a peaceful area close to the stunning Biwa Lake, with easy access to two different train stations that make commuting a breeze. The rooms are spacious and cozy, with comfortable futons to lay on and traditional decor. The private open-air bath is perfect to relax in while enjoying the beautiful views. Breakfast is a treat, with deliciously presented dishes.
Some guests with tattoos might not be able to use certain facilities due to strict and outdated rules.

yumotokan in otsu exceeded our expectations during our wedding celebration. impeccable cleanliness, incredible outdoor onsen, and kind staff who went above and beyond to ensure we caught our train on time. a truly unforgettable experience.
One rude front reception staff on the telephone.

The hotel was conveniently located near a beautiful lake, making for some stunning views during our stay. The private open-air bath was a relaxing and enjoyable experience, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. An added bonus was the selection of massage services available to help unwind after a long day.
Although the hotel was generally a great experience, the vegetarian options for meals were unfortunately lacking and disappointing. the room could have used a bit more attention to detail and upkeep to make the stay more comfortable.
